TasteDC was founded
by Charlie Adler in July of 1997 to introduce
Washingtonians to the world of wine tasting
and culture through innovative
local wine and culinary events. Since
that time, TasteDC has seen more than
10,000 attendees take our Wine Basics 101
class, and created over 600 wine
and food events. What sets TasteDC apart

organizations is a narrow focus - we just
care about what Washingtonians eat
and drink and we support local producers,
importers and purveyors of fine
food and wine! Many of D.C.'s finest
chefs have participated in our cooking
classes which are very popular! We always
prefer local, and believe it or
not, DC has its own cheese mongers, chocolatiers,
bread bakers, and other
artisan's of the food world. Did we
mention wine? Most of our events
include a basic introductory discussion and
tasting of wine because wine
makes food taste so much better!
